Here’s a mild (and some would say- harmless) example…

In 1899, a remarkable image captured the awe-inspiring sight of the Last Giant Silicon Tree, a massive and ancient tree that symbolized the grandeur of nature. Standing as one of the largest trees of its kind, the tree was a living monument to the strength and longevity of the natural world. Its towering presence left an indelible impression on all who saw it, representing a fleeting yet powerful piece of history in an era when the world’s natural resources were still largely untouched.

The “Silicon Tree” was particularly notable for its sheer size and resilience, characteristics that earned it admiration from explorers, scientists, and photographers of the time. Unfortunately, many of these giant trees were eventually cut down due to logging and deforestation during this period of rapid industrial expansion. As a result, the Last Giant Silicon Tree became a symbol of both the magnificence and vulnerability of nature, a poignant reminder of what was being lost as human progress continued to encroach upon the environment.

In capturing this majestic tree, the photograph of the Last Giant Silicon Tree became an iconic image of the late 19th century. It served as a testament to the beauty of the natural world that existed before widespread industrialization, and it sparked conversations about conservation and the importance of preserving the Earth’s oldest and most remarkable organisms. This image, now a piece of history, allows us to reflect on the power of nature and the need to protect our environment for future generations.

Except it’s not.

It’s a fake AI generated image, and a fake-- made-up AI generated story.

Here’s what is most interesting. When called out on the fakery, the poster said the following:

— I’m not messing with anyone’s minds sometimes it’s not about what’s true or not. It’s about the message it sends.

And there lies the problem.

Las Vegas Sphere Anyma Show intro…

A man rents an electric truck and plows down people with it on New Year’s in the French Quarter of New Orleans.

Later that same day a man with a rented electric ‘cyber’ truck lights it afire, causing an explosion of fireworks in front of the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas.

Can you believe anything the media tells you about these incidents? Can you believe what they tell you about the people involved? How much are they NOT telling us?

Can we trust the FBI?
