Your Daily Prayer Devotional Discussion

A Prayer of Repentance Without Condemnation - Your Daily Prayer - September 9

I received and read this Scripture and the accompanying devotional this morning. When I got the the fourth paragraph-second sentence, I paused. I backed up and made sure that I was reading it in context. As far as I can tell, I did. I find the statement I read - not the entire devotional but the one sentence to be offensive. Let me copy and paste that sentence: “Other times, it takes us a while to acknowledge God’s wrongdoing.” I MUST point this out. That is an offensive statement no matter how I read it. I finished the devotional and other than that one sentence, find it pleasing and God honoring. But that one sentence is from hell. I pray you will correct this which I assume is a typo error of huge magnitude.

Need this one today. This is my favorite devotional on Crosswalk. :folded_hands::folded_hands:

I am right now having major issues with a woman who sits at the same table I & my friend Juan sit at. She is accusing me of being jealous of her having a relationship with my friend Juan & of taking things from him I should not be taking because he paid for them instead of me. She also claims that because Juan pays for those things, no one but him should be using them. However, she falls to understand that my friend Juan offers those things to me & that he feels offended if I don’t take whatever he offers me. She feels that I am robbing Juan & in return not buying things for him that he alone could enjoy. The things I take from him when he offers them to me are cookies, Panque bread, things that his Uncle brings him that are too much for Juan to eat by himself or that he does not like, or anything that he usually eats or does not want to eat when meals are served. She further claims that I am jealous of her having a relationship with Juan, when it is really her that is jealous of me having such a relationship with Juan. She is not aware of the historical relationship Juan & I share, so she believes that even if Juan offers me something that belongs to him, I should not accept it. Furthermore she claims that because I don’t buy things for Juan, that is another reason I should not accept things from him, but she does not know that I do sometimes purchase things for Juan because she has never seen me do that, yet Juan still offers me some of what I purchase for him. In other words, she has a messed up mind about the relationship Juan & I share. Please pray that the LORD would heal her mind & help her to see the true relationship that Juan & I share, & that He would remove the blinders from her eyes that prevent her from seeing that she is the one that is jealous of me having such a sharing relationship with my friend Juan. Thank you for your prayers, & God bless you.

The devotional miinutes count. Remind me of a time when I was in my 20’s.

I was driving late at night and came to an intersection that had no light or stop sign. As i stopped this car and a police car went through the side that had a stop sign at a very high speed. Later it was disclosed it was a high speed chase. I remember thinking God stopped this car. There was no other reason. If i was hit by this high speed chase, it would have killed me.

Why we are tempted knowing what God does for us, even in times when we fall

Its hard to understand. Even the witness story above, i still will take minutes for granted.
