I was born in Nashville, Tennessee, but Alabama has been home since I was two years old. I grew up in Pelham and was raised by my grandparents, who made sure I was in church every Sunday at First Baptist Hoover. That’s where my faith took root and my calling to ministry began.
I’ve spent much of my life serving as a pastor in the conservative Baptist church, preaching the Word and standing firm on traditional biblical values. Politically, I’m a lifelong Republican — and I like to say I’m somewhere to the right of Attila the Hun. My favorite president is Ronald Reagan, and my spiritual heroes include Voddie Baucham, Jerry Falwell, and D. James Kennedy — men who never backed down from truth.
Before and alongside ministry, I’ve worn a few different hats — I’ve worked as a construction foreman, and for a time, I even did stand-up comedy. (Turns out preaching and comedy aren’t as different as you might think — timing is everything in both.)
I’m a diehard University of Alabama football fan — “Roll Tide” is more than a phrase in my house; it’s a way of life. These days, I live in Gadsden, Alabama, and I’m proud to call people like Judge Roy Moore friends.
Faith, family, and freedom are what I stand for. I believe America’s best days are still ahead — if we have the courage to return to the values that made her great in the first place.
