My husband found a small wallet at a store and went to the post office to get it sent back to the person. We were told growing up that if you find a wallet or driver’s license go to the post office and mail it back to the person address.
Once at the post office the employees did an inventory of items and told my husband that they would cover the cost. Well things didn’t go as planned and here’s the story in a nutshell.. The person of the wallet made a police report and my husband was charged with 2 accounts of theft.. We are trying to find the employee’s from the post office so that they can testify that they mailed the wallet to the person. Well we can’t find these employees and the post office won’t help us in finding anything like who mailed it? look up a receipt? Due to employee privacy we can’t get any help. We don’t have the money for a paid attorney, so we are at the mercy of the state. The person who lost the wallet isn’t being honest that she received it. We think that she went and purchased a $1200 phone and my husband is being held responsible. I don’t want him to admit to something he didn’t do. We don’t know what else to do except ask for prayer and protection from the enemy..
The police report states the value of everything in the wallet at $92.00 ! So we need your prayers. it’s been a year and we are now heading to trial.. God knows that we are being totally honest. I don’t want to lose my husband, I know that through prayer anything is possible with The Lord. So I’m asking for your help and prayers. God Bless and Thank You.
