A Prayer for The Weekend

As we head into the weekend, I just wanted to take a moment to wish you all a blessed and restful couple of days. I hope your weekend is filled with relaxation and joy, time well spent with family, but also that it provides you with the opportunity to accomplish a project you’ve been working on or have been hoping to achieve.

May your weekend be both rejuvenating and productive, striking a perfect balance between unwinding and feeling good about progress. Remember, it’s important to take time to recharge, but it’s also wonderful to see hard work pay off.

Here’s a prayer for the weekend:
Dear God,

As we start this weekend, we want to thank You for giving us this time to rest and enjoy life. We ask that You bless our days ahead, helping us to find both peace and joy in everything we do.

Lord, guide us in how we spend our time. Whether we are relaxing or working on tasks, help us to feel Your presence with us. Give us the strength to be productive and the wisdom to know when to take a break.

Let our weekend be a time to reconnect with family and friends, and to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Help us to make the most of these days, balancing our work with moments of relaxation and fun.

Fill our hearts with gratitude for the good things in our lives and for the chance to unwind. As we rest and recharge, let us also find ways to grow closer to You and to each other.

When the weekend ends and we return to our routines, may we do so with a renewed spirit and a deep sense of Your love and guidance.

Thank You for this time, and for all Your blessings.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

What are your plans for the weekend? We’ll be doing house work (hopefully some of the last mows before the cooler weather!) then relaxing in the last of the warm summer weekends!

Since this is the last weekend when both of our girls will be home before returning to college, we’re just sitting back and relaxing, enjoying each other’s company. One goes back for her sophomore year next Sunday; the other for her Senior gasp year the following Saturday.
