Hello, my name is Carlton, and I’m from Alabama. I’m a former Baptist pastor, I love my Alabama Crimson Tide Football Team, and I happen to be a member of the Republican National Committee. I’m not here for politics, but I’m open to it. I am conservative in religion and politics…..I’m to the right of Attilla the Hun. My favorite preachers you may know or have known are Jerry Falwell, Voddie Baucham, John MacArthur, and D James Kennedy. Preachers, I use the term very loosely, that I don’t care for are Kenneth Copeland, Smiling Joel Olsteen, and Jessie Duplantis. Sorry, just don’t care for the message they project..

Some of my Favorite preachers is Alan Jackson, John and Matt Hagee and 2819 Church in Atlanta with Philip Anthony Mitchell. I still listen to Charles Stanley and miss him. Favorite is 2819 Church. Nice to meet y’all. Been studying the Bible for 6 years. And Blessed to get to read it everyday. I love y’all. Nice to meet y’all and hope to learn, learn and learn some more. Hi, everyone. I am new to this forum. I am 64 years old. I grew up in a Christian family and loved and feared God most of my life. Around 10 years, or so, ago, however, I began a mission to improve my faith beyond just accepting Christianity rather blindly. My goal was to take on questions of faith head on so that I had the capacity to actually convert people to Christianity. Through this process, which included reading books supporting Christianity and those that did not, I lost my faith and am now agnostic. The point where I began to seriously doubt Christianity was extremely painful but my goal was to seek truth and not just something that made me feel at peace. I miss those days of believing but will not fall back into delusion without sufficient evidence that supports it, which is and has been my life mission. I hope to gain additional clarity in this forum but doubt I will, as I have pretty much heard all the efforts used to convince people. We shall see.
I am not here to cause any problems but my questions and responses may come across as more direct than what is typically seen. I assure you it is simply because I am seeking real answers. Thank you for your patience and I truly look forward to spirited conversation.
