Please pray for 3 of my 5 adult children who have turned their backs on the Lord. It’s so painful to watch them live their lives without Jesus.
When I was 15 I turned my back on the church in which I was raised. I even called myself an agnostic, which I defined as insufficient information.
If you children have been through college it may be possible that they became ardent atheists. However, it may be possible that they have just become unsatisfied with church. The three reasons people become dissatisfied with church are personalities, doctrines, and church structure.
If they can share with you their reasons, they might be open to hearing about alternatives or trying to find a path around their objections.
It’s my belief that the Lord loses none of us and if they were His at one point, then they are still His. Like the prodigal son, He will bring them back to Himself when the time is right. That is also my story and I was away for decades before returning to His care.
