Dear Lord. Please help me to trust in you I’m struggling physically and emotionally because of my lack of trust. Please show me the way to you.
Is Christianity true?
Historians say Jesus existed, that he was crucified, burried and that his tomb was found to be empty!
Just what are you basing your faith upon?
Have a read of this article and look seriously at the articles at the bottom of this article:-
I pray that you will see that Jesus did live, die and rise again, that Jesus is the only way to God.
Hi,
Marial, are you struggling as a believer in Jesus?
Or are you struggling to find Him?
Your post reads both ways.
If you are a believer and struggling, it’s OK.
Welcome to the party.
All believers struggle.
The struggle is your proof of the faith you have in Jesus.
Non-believers don’t struggle.
But we, as believers, have that struggle between our old sin nature, and the new creature we have become.
So embrace the struggle for what it truly is.
And don’t doubt your salvation any longer.
If you are not a believer, please check back in and make that clear.
I, and the other fine folks here, can help you with that as well.
Blessings
I’m struggling to hear his voice and feel his presence. I am a believer but I can’t hear him or feel his presence so I feel lost
Totally understand, and I’ve gone through times like this. If you haven’t already done this, I highly recommend throwing yourself into Bible study - just you and the Lord. Pick a topic you’ve always wanted to know more about and dig into it. Then pick another and another, etc. This gives a deeper understanding of who God is and how He works, which will build understanding and trust. A chain-reference Bible is excellent for this type of study, and there might be chain-reference apps out there (I use Thompson chain-reference Bible). Start a document where you can track and organize your studies, and this will help solidify everything you’ve learned.
I also praise Him for all of the blessings He’s given as much as I can, which also helps greatly. Takes the focus off of me and back where it belongs.
Hugs to you, and I pray God will show you the way and bring you comfort and joy.
Hi,
Marial, there will be times when you will not feel God’s presence, or audibly hear His voice.
I don’t know that I have ever heard an audible voice.
I do feel God’s presence when I spend time reading my Bible.
2 Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
KJV
Part of growing our faith is to trust in the Lord even though you cannot feel or hear Him.
God is teaching you to trust in Him regardless of your senses.
This is the last words Jesus spoke before He ascended.
Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. KJV
Jesus is with you alway; not some way, alway.
Notice “alway” is an absolute term in the present tense.
Read Psalm 139.
David asked, “Where can I go that You (God) are not there?”
That’s how close He is even when you cannot feel or hear Him.
So you can trust His Word above your feelings.
I can walk through the valley of the shadow of death, and fear no evil when I trust in Him.
Blessings
Fortunately our state as sav3d depends upon Jesus and not upon us.as John10 says:-
27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all[c]; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”
Verse 27, we hear his voice in bible readings, in surmons and talking about Christianity with friends.
Memorise verse 29, learn who it is that holds on to the faith he gave you.
