An exploration of Ancient History!

Shortly after the demise of the dinosaurs, but
just before bmps, jpegs, gifs, and even the
emoji's, there roamed mankinds early internet
users.
As the internet was too slow to load multiple
images in seconds as it so effortlessly does
today, the boring, bland, dull and otherwise
featureless chat rooms and bbs boards were
adorned with simple but welcome designs.
Many users spent about an hour every morning
"dialing up" and logging in to see a currious
looking welcome message.

But at the end of the day, when it was all said
and done, it was all just in good fun. Some of
the art took seconds, other sometimes took a
few hours or days even. Those days were more
