Today the verse found me instead of me finding it .
Every now and then, a verse you weren’t even looking for just lands. For me this today it was Isaiah 41:10—I stumbled on it while reading something else, and it stopped me mid-scroll.
It reminded me that sometimes Scripture finds us exactly where we are.
Isaiah 41:10 (NIV) “So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
The God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
Psalm 16:8 — “I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.”
Proverbs 3:5–6 — “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
“So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full.”
Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you. Isaiah 54:10
The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”
