Ahh, I just read this verse in this article about God’s name Adonai! The word for “LORD” in this passage is the Hebrew word Adonai, communicating that the Lord is the rightful ruler over all things. Love when a verse is reinforced like that!

LOVE it. Thanks for sharing!!
Psalm91
This verse speaks to my heart and soul about God’s love and protection. He loves us unconditionally. No matter what distance we put between ourselves and God He stands strong and steady. He will find the list. He will leave 99 other sheep and go searching for one list lamb. Nothing we do will push Him away. Nothing can separate us from His love.

Amen. “If we are faithless, He remains faithful. He cannot deny Himself.” 2 Timothy 2:13
Knowing that God loves you isn’t always an easy thing to believe. I think that may be because we see ourselves and wonder what there is to love. Or it could be influenced by the relationship we have with our earthly father. Whatever it is, truly knowing deep down that God loves you is something many struggle with.
We can think God tolerates us, or loves us because He has to love us or because He is love (1 John 4:8) so we’re loved for that reason. We don’t see it as personal love. More like some big comfy blanket that covers us because it covers everyone. It’s not personal and we want Him to love us personally.
My thing used to be that I know God loves me, but I want Him to like me. It was my way of saying I need His personal love of me. I needed to know I was ok in His sight. I was hungry for His love.
A friend of mine prayed over this when I explained to her my feelings. She came back with an answer and her answer was that God doesn’t think in terms of liking someone or not liking someone. He loves them and He loves me.
That took some time to absorb, but I came to the same conclusion. Many of us struggle with knowing His love and it’s important. If you don’t know that God loves you personally, then that’s something to wrestle with until you do know.
