Hi everyone, I’ve been going through a season where I could really use some encouragement. I would love to hear any Bible verses that have brought you comfort, strength, or hope during difficult times.
Scripture has such a powerful way of speaking peace into our lives when we need it most. If there’s a verse you return to when you’re feeling overwhelmed or discouraged, please feel free to share it. Thank you in advance for your encouragement and for being willing to support one another through God’s Word
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. - KJV ↩︎
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. - KJV ↩︎
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. - KJV ↩︎
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. - KJV ↩︎
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. - KJV ↩︎
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. - KJV ↩︎
“For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, ‘Abba! Father!”
“Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
And we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:15,26-28
As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy. James 5:11
