First Welcome @Nancyrod65

No one should feel like this. Of course, you are worthy. If you are a child of God, HE is with you no matter what the world or those in the world say. If God is your Father, He is there.

”He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3

There is nothing anyone can do to change that.

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written,

“For your sake, we are being killed all day long;

We are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:35-39

I will be praying for you. Seek God and trust in Him.

Peter

Praying for you! May the Lord give you the strength and comfort you need, especially in the form of other Christians who can come alongside you and share your burdens. I’m glad you feel peace when you are in church—lean into that and reach out to other believers there to help if you can. :folded_hands:

Nancy, what you are describing is not spiritual failure. It is weariness under prolonged burden, and Scripture speaks directly to that. God does not measure your worth by how much you can endure before collapsing. He sees the unseen weight you carry.

First, your exhaustion does not mean you are unworthy.
Feeling mentally and verbally worn down, especially as a sole caregiver, is a human response to sustained stress. Scripture explicitly says that God draws near to the crushed and exhausted, not the self-sufficient. Psalm 34:18[1] Your fatigue is not evidence of weak faith. It is evidence that you are carrying more than one person was meant to carry alone.

Second, caring for your mother does not make you invisible to God.
Serving quietly, without recognition, is repeatedly honored in Scripture. Galatians 6:9[2] This does not mean “never rest.” It means God sees faithfulness even when there is no immediate relief.

Third, the peace you feel in church matters, and it tells you something important.
That peace is not imaginary. It is your nervous system and your spirit both responding to safety, truth, and worship. Psalm 84:1–2[3] Church is not an escape. It is a place of re-centering, and it is okay that you need it right now.

Fourth, you are not meant to walk this alone, even though you have been.

Scripture never portrays caregiving or spiritual growth as a solitary burden. Galatians 6:2[4]

Practically, this means it is not weakness to ask for help, whether that help comes from church leadership, trusted believers, or professional support. Receiving help is not failing your calling. It is honoring your limits.

Fifth, your walk beginning in November is still very new.
Early faith often feels fragile, emotional, and uneven. That does not mean it is false. It means it is growing. Isaiah 42:3[5] God does not demand strength from those who are learning to stand.

Finally, rest is not selfish. It is obedience.
Jesus speaks directly to people who are burdened beyond capacity. Matthew 11:28[6] Rest does not mean abandoning responsibility. It means allowing God to carry what was never meant to be carried by you alone.

Shalom.

J.

( The holy spirit lives within you,) you are never alone my child. It will be beneficial to you if you repeat these prayers daily. Your are a very special person to Jesus he loves you more than you can ever imagine. You’re unique,

Pray For One Another Without Ceasing. Father, I know the most important reality of my life is that you love me and that you look at me this moment with such tenderness and love as no one ever could;

I am your only child.

You desire to forgive me and to heal me where I want healing so that this day will be a brand-new beginning with “a future full of hope.”

Whatever I have to face today, one thing I know, is that you will be there with me as my best friend, helping, consoling, strengthening, healing and guiding me.

I am so sorry you are carrying so much. Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” You are not unseen, and you are not unworthy. Your value is settled at the cross. :revolving_hearts::revolving_hearts:

Praying that the Lord surrounds you with His protection, strengthens your mind and body, and reminds you daily that you are His beloved child.
