Why not? They watch FOX news to their detriment.
And we all know FOX news can be extremely exagerated, sometimes crass. And violent (at least with the facts.)
At what point do we become mature enough to be able to tell fantasy from reality?
These dramas are meant to give everyday people and school children something to cheer for and something to boo. Heroes and villains are exagerated to help tell which is which. We know the good guys from the bad guys. While the actual people, the wrestler/actors underneath the costumes, are nothing like their characters. It is a play with physical feats, stunts.
The problem occurs when we take this approach of exageration and go on to use it to demonize real people, when we say that this person or that group is completely good or completely evil when that is not the case.
Every one and every group can have a wickedness about them and a redeeming quality whether you like them or not. A wickedness here is defined as self serving while a redeeming quality means beneficial to others.
Someone who may hate Jews or Homosexuals because they believe in the demonization of these two different groups might actually be extraordinarily kind in everyday life. And the opposite is true. Jews and Homosexuals can be extremely kind and caring people, or real stinkers like every other group of people.
We are pitted against each other by this fearful false notion of, THEY are out to get US. This isn’t meant to protect you. It is meant to start a fight that will destroy lives. The devil is in the details.
This is not to say that FOX and CNN are all evil either. The anchors, broadcasters and crew putting on the show are a mix of real people just like us, full of good and bad qualities. And they too are running on the same delusions and lies and wrong ways of thinking that they put out, that leads them to further fuel the flames of war and destruction
But these companies, these POLITICAL machines have one job- to help one side win the war against the other at all cost. Republican and Democrat, Right and Left, two sides of the same coin-
These machines are the Beast behind the destruction. And they have taken on a life of their own, becoming living breathiing demonic beings with personalities who hold influence and sway over their worshippers- those who devote all their time and energy and mental capacity to their own individual political gospels. You watch, you listen, you absorb, and they puppet you with a life and mind all their own.
Then, when they have you in their control, they ramp it up. They warp reality so you don’t know up from down, good from evil. They scapegoat and lay blame. They make more and more accusations.
And eventually evil begats evil, then it is eye for an eye, until two opposing groups are just so completely fueled up and riled up to the max that they are ready to destroy one another completely. And then they do. Eventually. They destroy themselves, each other, and soak the land with blood and innocent lives lost. This is the way it has always been.
Like Israel and Pakistan. Two ethnic groups of two different religions who share a blood line if you go far enough back. Who have families, children, who just want to live their lives in peace. While some devil stokes a conflict about territory based on what? Religion? This is Cain and Able. All over again. Meanwhile God says to not do evil to your neighbor or your brother. Do good, love each other instead, and live.
Meanwhile we are talking about a show geared toward children. Let us keep our eyes on where the devil is moving that we deal with the real threats actively moving against our lives. And let Christ be our compass when we deal with those threats.
There is a psychological manipulation taking place when you willingly listen to things that distort your view of the world. These demons of bloodlust are successfully using all of these soap boxes around us to turn everyday people into killing machines. And they do this by playing with your sense of having been wronged, violated, or threatened somehow. They are stoking a fire in you to get pay back, telling you that this will make you a hero or that you are justified in doing harm. But all it does is turn you into a murderer.
This is why we have politucal assasinations and why we have school children being weaponized to go into their schools to kill and be killed. The issue here isn’t how easily guns or knives can be reached for. Oh no, it’s the whispers and the lies that lead to the carnage. It’s how easily we all get sucked into the snare because we aren’t listening to God.
No wall is going to save you when you keep opening the door for the devil himself. If you want to stop this violence, you need to close off all the ways you are letting the devil whisper into your ears to get inside your heart.
We must learn to tell the truth from the lie, bringing justice to actual wrong doers and actual crimes.
We need to stop taking every accusation as Gospel truth. We must investigate, look for the evidence, and judge wisely.
We must stop allowing social media to decide these things, swaying the wrath of the people to destroy lives.
Better we let go of some modern day conviences and go back to a simpler way of life than to allow someone’s twisted Godless Dystopian hellscape fantasy to become our reality.
