My favorite things that have been a help:
Mini fridge by my bed stocked with 7Up, ginger ale and jello
Tv comedies. Humor helps my outlook
Cheezits and other snacks I can eat without cooking.
A fantastic young oncologist and P.A. And a great social worker and chemotherapy staff.
Friends and colleagues who have held yard sales for me and help getting me to appointments. My neuropathy is so bad it isnβt safe to drive.
My entire family has health issues , so friends have stepped up.
I was taking a chemo drug for awhile and these really helped with my upset stomach:
Those sound tasty. I drink ginger-lemon tea, which helps.
When I go to the infusion center, I bring headphones, download podcasts, bring my kindle, and crossword puzzles. Some days I canβt use any of this but some days I use them all depending on how I feel.
Music and podcasts get me into a different world than poison being dumped in my body
