I was very sad to hear about John MacArthur’s passing yesterday, July 14th. His ministry has profoundly shaped my walk with Christ. Through Grace to You, his clear, verse-by-verse teaching helped me understand Scripture in a way I never had before. He had a rare gift for making deep doctrine both accessible and uncompromisingly biblical.

What started as a small church ministry in 1969 grew into a global outreach, with his sermons reaching thousands every day in multiple languages. But for me, it was personal; I came to know the Word more deeply because of his faithfulness to preach it without apology.

His legacy of truth and faithfulness will live on in the lives of so many he helped disciple. Please join me in praying for the MacArthur family during this time, and share how his ministry has impacted you.

Hi,

I used to get to work early just so I could listen to John in my car.
He and Chuck Smith from Calvary Chapel were my two favorite pastors.
John has a down-to-earth reaching style that resonated with me.
John did not talk down to people.
But rather he would raise you up to his level.
He helped keep me walking the walk when times were tough.
May God bless his family and congregation as they go through these tough times.
He was a blessing to me and didn’t even know it.

Blessings

The first time I heard John MacArthur was when he spoke at a Biola University chapel in the 90’s. It was very impactful to me.
