Christmas/Advent Devotional Recommendations

I like to read through a devotional during the Advent season and I don’t have one in mind yet this year.

What are some good ones you’ve read?

Some I’ve read in the past and enjoyed:

Hidden Christmas by Tim Keller
One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp
Gentle and Lowly by Dane Ortlund
Miracle on 10th Street by Madeleine L’Engle
Watching for the Light (Advent readings from various authors)

I’ve appreciated “Come, Let Us Adore Him” by Paul David Tripp.
The daily readings are short, but they have a way of bringing you back to the heart of Advent without feeling heavy or overly academic.

Another one I enjoyed last year was “The Dawning of Indestructible Joy” by John Piper — simple structure, one page per day, easy to stay consistent with.

I’m still deciding what I’ll choose for this December, but those two stood out to me as genuinely encouraging.
