Coming Tribulation: Peace, Not War

Nice way to start a conversation huh?

Do you plan on continuing to ‘mock’ in this whole post you present?

No, I did not wrongly teach ‘how’ the “great tribulation” will be. Your accusation is just the worm of men’s doctrines you have latched onto because it’s shows that you don’t really know ‘how’ God’s written Word says it will be.

I showed directly from… my word? No… I showed from God’s written Word just HOW the “great tribulation” is meant. And it is not meant how many are preaching it today. Didn’t you bother to read those Scriptures I referenced? (Daniel 8:23-25; 1 Thessalonians 5, for starters)

The “great tribulation” will affect TWO different groups, but not in the same way.

Rev 13:4-8
4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, “Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?”

That “dragon” title is another title for Satan, per Rev.12:9. Notice that says they will worship the “dragon”, actually meant literally bowing to him when he comes, because there’s plenty of Bible Scripture to show that the coming Antichrist will be Satan himself. I covered some of it with the teaching about the false-Messiah for the end of this world.

Do you not see in the above verse a familiar idea that Lord Jesus mentioned in His Olivet discourse about the end? Jesus said we’d hear of wars and rumors of wars, but that the “end” is not yet. That means the “end” will be a time when ALL wars have stopped. Thus those who worship that “dragon” will be saying that, “Who is like the beast? who is able to make war with him?” No one will be able, for he will be given power over all nations and peoples when he shows up in Jerusalem to play Messiah, which is written to happen prior… to our Lord Jesus Christ’s coming.

5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

That above is about the “little horn” of Daniel 7 & 8, and the “king of fierce countenance” of Daniel 8 (it’s about Satan, as he has many titles, like the “dragon” given here in Rev.13). It’s about Satan as the coming Antichrist at the end of this world.

8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
KJV

There’s the two groups I mentioned. Those who names are NOT written in the book of life, contrasted with those saints whose names ARE written.

HOW will the “great tribulation” affect each group? the deceived vs. those not deceived? Find the answer to that question in God’s written Word, and then you will know what I’m talking about.

No, you cannot move Apostle Paul’s “Peace and safety” backwards in time to only be for the first 1260 days of Daniel’s symbolic “one week”. Read Paul again…

1 Thess 5:2-3
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
KJV

Notice that Apostle Paul timing that “sudden destruction” on the “day of the Lord” with the timing when they will be saying that, “Peace and safety”. That means in the LATTER half of Daniel’s symbolic “one week” for that “sudden destruction” represents God’s consuming fire destruction upon this earth on that “day of the Lord”, according to both Paul and Peter (which they got from God’s Old Testament prophets).

By the way, I have never… declared that the tribulation is for a 7 year period, but instead like you are saying only for the latter 1260 day half, right after the coming false-Messiah places the “abomination of desolation” at the mid point of the “one week”.

But don’t you know, Lord Jesus said He shortened the tribulaton for the sake of His elect. Do you know where He showed how long? He gave it in His Book of Revelation, do you know it?

Not what God’s written Word shows.

When the coming Antichrist/false Messiah shows up in Jerusalem to play God in the new Jewish temple to be built in the first half of Daniel’s “one week”, when he places the “abomination of desolation”, that is when he will play Christ in Jerusalem, and the WHOLE WORLD will believe he is God (excepting Christ’s elect). And that… is when those deceived by that false-Messiah will be claiming that, “Peace and safety” that Paul mentioned.

Is there another Bible Scripture witness to this? Yes, but one must really pay attention to the Scripture as written…

Rev 11:1-3
11 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
KJV

That above is the latter half of Daniel’s “one week”.

Now notice what the peoples of the nations do once God’s two witnesses are killed and left laying in the street in Jerusalem.

Rev 11:7-10
7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
KJV

The nations will be rejoicing… over the dead two witnesses, and even send gifts to each other. That’s an example of their deception to a time of “Peace and safety” for the latter half of the trib.
