not necessarily asking for myself, but for the general public, what are some verses, some wisdom, some knowledge on a person that surrounded by sin a person that is fully living in sin nothing positive around them what are some things that young Christian yourself needed when you were learning to 100% fully trust in the Lord, when you were learning to let go and fully let God what are some things that you wish you would’ve been told some Bible verses anything what are things that helped you when you were the only one in the room making the right decision versus sin what are some things you think would’ve helped you as a young Christian not necessarily a child but a new Christian
dont know who but i think corinthians “although you are surrounded by enemies(evil, demons), you are nver without a friend”
1 Cor 10:**13 **No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
Note this is not some magical vanishing of temptation but providing a way to avoid it. example you see pretty girl and start lusting after her. Turn away and stop looking/leering at her.
First, we must always remember this.
“Let no one say when he is tempted, ‘I am being tempted by God,’ for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire, when it has conceived, gives birth to sin, and sin, when it is fully grown, brings forth death. Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers.” James
It is not God. Sometimes, it is not even the devil—just us, living our own sinful nature. The good news is this, though.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:19
Even if we fail. Even if we give in. Always remember this.
“Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times.” Matthew 18:21-22
If Jesus tells us this, while we are actually considered evil, then how much more do you think God will forgive you? He is not sitting there counting. “STRIKE THREE, YOU’RE OUT! To hell with you.” No, as long as we are trying, God will forgive us.
Peter
Often times, help lies in meditating on His Word and reliance on Him in those times. Psalm 46:1 indicates Him being a present help in trouble. Making up your mind and giving it to Him brings His help. You will find that it is not as difficult as you might think. I used to have the same problem. It is important to replace the thoughts with His Word and some resistance on your part (James 4:6). Yes it will try to come back but it is important to have a strategy in place to meditate on the Word. I wish you the best.
