Heavenly Father,
I come before You, heavy with the awareness of my shortcomings. There are places in my heart that have grown cold, stubborn, or stained by compromise—and I don’t want to carry that weight anymore. Lord, I need You to do what only You can do: to cleanse me from within.
Create in me a clean heart, O God.
Wash away the bitterness, the pride, the selfishness.
Sweep out the corners where hidden sin tries to stay hidden.
Renew a right spirit in me—one that desires You above all else.
You promised in Your Word that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and to purify us from all unrighteousness. I believe that. And I ask for it now—not just forgiveness, but transformation.
Don’t let me settle for surface-level change. I don’t want to just look clean—I want to be clean. I want to hunger for righteousness, to speak life, to walk in holiness, and to live in such a way that people see Your Spirit in me.
Restore to me the joy of my salvation. Remind me that Your mercies are new every morning and that no failure is too great for Your grace. Break what needs breaking. Heal what needs healing. And shape me into someone who reflects the beauty and purity of Christ.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” – Psalm 51:10 (ESV)
