Do You Ever Think About How God Uses Ordinary People?

Something struck me while reading recently: God often works through very ordinary people doing very ordinary things, and somehow that becomes part of His bigger story.

Do you ever think about that?
Does it make faith feel more accessible, or more mysterious?

I’d love to hear how others see God working through everyday lives rather than dramatic moments.

Um, pretty much everyone is ordinary. Ordinary is often used interchangeably with “average”.

God uses people who are willing to be used by him.

I’ve talked with friends agonising over ‘ is God calling them to be a missionary ‘ or ‘ is God calling them into full time work ‘ .

Everyone of them was a normal ordinary person working at their job, serving in the church and everyone of them left a big hole when they left to serve God in some other place and each time they went with the support and backing of our church.

Is God calling you? Well are you currently serving in some way in your local church.

If you’re not, God isn’t calling you, except to get off your backside and to talk to your minister about where can you serve.

Moses got a 1st class education in egypt and then spent 40 years learning about life in the desert, before going to be Israels leader.

The apostles had a three year trainging course beside Jesus.

What have you had?
