As the new year approaches, I see people either making detailed plans or deciding to skip the resolutions altogether. I’m curious, do you approach the new year with goals, a theme, a prayer, or just open hands?
Is there a Scripture that helps guide you into a new season? Or do you feel like one year just blends into the next? I’d love to hear what this time of transition feels like for you.
Why do people wait to even make a new years resolution? The time is now, and will still be now two, five or eight months down the road. Don’t wait for the New Year to make a resolution. If it’s something that needs to be changed, or that you resolve to do, it doesn’t need a holiday to do it on. Like the old NIKE® slogan says: Just Do It.™
REMINDER:
Be safe TODAY to see the
NEW YEAR tomorrow!
I don’t make new year resolutions. It reminds me too much of the rules I used to make for myself when I wanted to make a change. That never worked. For a time, maybe, but the change I wanted didn’t last.
Who decided the the new year begins on January 1st? I think September is a better choice. When I was young I celebrated New Years, but that hasn’t been the case for a long time. It’s just another day for me. It’s in September that I look forward to newness and its nice to end the year with summer warmth.
nah, i dont believe in newyears. so i just ignore it.
