Do you think a revival is going on in America right now? I have mixed thoughts and I want to know yours. I think people are beginning to realize how empty secular culture is. However I believe some people are wanting revival for the wrong reasons, as they think revival will bring bounty blessings to America. Which means they don’t care as much about the souls as they do the blessings, which leads me to a question. Do you think God promises bounty after revival or not? Because despite revival in places like Africa and Iran there hasn’t been prosperity.
Do you know what happens in a revival?
As the name suggests it Always is an event that starts in a church or with a group of Christians, where their love for God is " revived " and later spreads to those around that church/group.
What is revived? usually an extreme awareness of the Holiness of God and the sinful condition of those Christians caught in the revival.
Can you point to places where this is happening?

I wanted to believe there was. Immediately following the death of Charlie Kirk, we were hearing about people returning to church in droves. But, now I cynically wonder if what we saw then (and anything we see now) is just another “viral trend.”
I don’t know really what happened. It may have just been an after tragedy response, much like 9/11.
If you say “Revival” to a typical American Christian, they think of a little circus that Christians stage for their own entertainment. Rick Joyner is actually a pretty good historian, if you can pry him away from his day job as fortune teller. His research indicated that the average revival lasts 18-24 months, and typically leaves the surrounding culture worse off than it was before. An example he cited was how Charles Finney’s revivalism weaponized self-righteousness and led directly to the American civil war.(1)
The last nation-wide revival I’m aware of (I was there) ran roughly from 1969 to 1971. Yes, millions of sincere young searchers had a real encounter with the Man from Galilee. Then it was over, and America’s real deity (source of its laws) – five black-robed miscreants – imposed unrestricted human sacrifice upon all 50 states.
Two movements picked up the torch in the following half-century:
- The independent charismatic churches multiplied, some becoming megachurches.
- Millions of Christian families, Protestant and Catholic, realized that it was a sin to render unto Caesar that which is God’s, the children He entrusted to their care.
The niche market for serious Christian books has exploded. An uncountable multitude of pious men and women think about how the Faith applies to the 97% of our time when we are not under a steeple.

I think the Holy Spirit is always doing the quiet work of reviving peoples’ hearts. Sometimes this becomes more visible in the larger culture and gets called a revival, but often it’s less flashy transformation of loving and serving others and praying and worshipping God day by day.

I haven’t seen anything in scripture which promises a bounty here on earth after a revival which is merely more people returning to the Lord.
So they turn to God and what is promised to happen when one gives His life to Christ? Not only is no earthly bounty promised but you are called to deny yourself! (Luke 9:23). they are now a new creation and must consider that they have been crucified with Christ and are dead to the world. Our faith is now in Christ and we look nowhere except to Him in faith. (Galatians 2:20)
Think about when Jesus first became the figure of Christianity to the world, so what happened first? Did a bounty fall upon Him? No my friend, He was led into the desert to suffer and be tested. In other words, it got harder for Him. The world turned against Him and wound up killing Him.
Matthew 16:25-26
**25 **For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
**26 **For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?../KJV
Does that sound like a bounty to you? Oh the promises of a bounty are in scripture but they come later in heaven as rewards for having endurance and keeping faith until the end…Then you get your bounty. The trials and suffering that you are promised as a Christian on earth will be teaching you many things. Like for instance, we are told to learn to love God with all our might, and our neighbor like we do ourself. And you can’t learn about love without there not being any suffering…Suffering builds character and matures us as Believers. Paul tells us to learn to be content if you do have anything or not have anything, be content. The Lord isn’t going to let you die and He will take care of you. y experience with that, is He has shown me a definite pattern of helping…last minute, never late. Now that’s what I call a test of faith. So Brother, my advice is, learn to smile and feel content without a bounty. He just wants to see if you’ll lean on Him or look back to the world.
Now I am 64 and retired on social security. That’s my only income. And by anyone’s measure of poverty, I fit the definition of poverty. But I’ve kept on smiling and praising God even in poverty. There is a lot of security in Poverty. More so than being rich or bountiful, because it keeps me clinging to the Lord! Millionaires are not without financial troubles and hardship. The truth is they have more and bigger financial problems than us poor folk! So I don’t fret my financial hardship. I’m more like, ok Lord, I don’t what you’re doing here but I trust you to walk me through it. And then bam, somehow something happens and comes through and that hardship is alleviated by the Lord and the world goes into a huddle to start plotting my overthrow for next month (Lol).
I learned a long time ago, even before I walked with the Lord. The only people who get their utilities shut off or their car repo’ed are the druggies and drunks. I’ve always worked and got by. I have had those you better pay up or we shut it off letters and stuff but, it never really happened. Something always happens. My lights are still on and I haven’t missed any meals so if others really do get shut off, then they must not be looking to the Lord so are spiraling down. I wasn’t walking with the Lord per se but was trying to do the right things and have some honor and integrity about myself, and the Lord respects that more than evil so I got help and something happened to get us through and feed those kids and all that. Now that I do walk with the Lord, I can begin to understand that, it wasn’t me that took care of us. It was the Lord. Because I was trying to do right.
So don’t look for a bounty on earth bro. Learn to understand that you can choose to live 100% outside of the worldly monetary system, and life goes on, and you will live!
Why do you think Jesus said, sell your house and possessions and give it all to the poor…?? If you did that in faith, do you really think that He would let you go hungry or homeless? No way. No way. God has given some people a rich and bountiful life in scripture, but that was for God’s purposes with those people and apparently, I wont have that problem, lol! I have something for supper. My lights are on (and A/C!) I’m happy, praise the Lord!
This is a pretty wild idea, but i tend to see what is occurring to be outside the revival spectrum on purpose. On what could seem to be a potentially near expansion of Israel, what could be a possible take-away is a slight mirror of the 1st century. Whereas Israel had 1500 years under the mosaic law system leading to their rejection of Messiah. s cataclysmic sudden destruction was brought on.
I believe God is interested in making Israel jealous. Using a country drenched in much doctrine in error, the US, to demonstrate gentile dominance not overtly chastised by contrast in how God dealt with Israel in the 1st century. It would appear God is allowing the church a place in history Israel could not attain. God not being as harsh with the church.
If Israel is watching, it would seem that even though there are a lot of bad theological principles within the church, God may well use a dysfunctional church in spite of whatever heresies it may float. And not be harsh even though we have 2k years of church history and accountability to the word, It would seem that even though much of the churches can tend to run amuck, in their semi-stupor God will treat them differently than how He did with Israel. And that open faced contrast might be something far beyond revival.
Perhaps there is a revival of persons unto the Lord happening, and a falling away of people from the Lord at the same time right now?
This is almost certainly true. Anyone can see around them and see that evil has been ramped up in the world. The enemy is ramping it up because he knows he does not have much time left.
And when the enemy makes a move, our Lord makes a counter-move in response. I’m hearing and seeing of so many more miraculous testimonies of the Lord now than ever before, even in an indoctrinated united states.
So yeah, we have revival, and we have a falling away.
Every born again believer is a revival, currently a massive apostacy globally.

I don’t know but I hope it happens. I would say that it is not a large population revival as there has been almost no real advancements that matter in about 30 years that show the fruit of the holy spirit. I think it is a sincere hope for many that revival happens.

I tend to consider the Abraham Accords (although in theory heretically ecumenical) seeming to attest in some “sovereign” way that the God who created Ishmael and blessed Hagar is moving in their communities. It has been noted by several articles too that many Muslims have been coming to Christ. In droves.
