Sometimes whenever i see other Christians who have fake lawns, litter, are constantly lustful and unfaithful to their partners, eat nothing but processed or fake foods, and even just by going hunting and enjoying violence/war, it makes me question how god really thinks of some of his followers, yes, unconditional love is real. but love doesn’t equal no judgment. i love my friends, but i still can say some of them are a bit questionable.
I just believe in keeping mother earth alive and well, more than my own wellness. hunting deer for fun is the first step to becoming a murderer. replacing everyday plants – whether that be vegetable plants or flowers, for fake ones because you cant stop putting pesticides and filtered water with absolutely no minerals into it. saying you “love god” then abuse your significant other because they won’t have THAT with you, just shouldn’t slide unannounced. i am going based on real-life experience. i was forced to befriend a girl who tried to fight me, and realized she did all of those things.
it just makes me curious if god – or even just Jesus, would approve of modern-day life. especially with AI and lack of liveliness in the community.
To be honest, I don’t worry about these things. People do all sorts of crazy stuff and most of it doesn’t involve me. But as to why someone would want to replace plants with fake copies, is beyond me.
Some of what you mentioned here the Bible speaks plainly about so we know what God thinks of it. Abuse, lust and unfaithfulness with someone who’s your partner (and even if they aren’t) is sin and God will deal with it. In this lifetime or the judgement, because it’s God they’ve sinned against.
When it comes to friends doing this, it’s different. God says that if we keep bad company it will influence us. Been there. He’s right. It does eventually influence you. The only thing I can suggest is to tell them nicely, plainly and why. That’s looking out for them. If they want to continue then you need to decide if you’re going to leave the friendship. That may be the only choice left to you. But to hang around them and not say anything is not right. You’d be surprised at the impact your words could have. If not in that moment, then later. Or not. You just don’t know, but its the right thing to do.
and one of them did. got me addicted to seggs and painkillers because of it. but ive lost contact with him, because i didnt wanna end up the way he did. he was so high in class, he’d be drooling and chuckling every 4 minutes.
his response was “i’ll f off if you give me money”
Good morning all. Keeping in mind that God told man, Adam, to replenish the earth, to fill it. God, in Genesis 1:28 also says to subdue it.
Subdue: (Kabash) to make subservient, to bring into bondage, force, to disregard, to bring into subjection
Subservient: prepared to obey, unquestioningly, to be of less important, subordinate, less important, serving as a means to an end.
It is not at all meant for us to see this earth to be more important than your “own wellness”,
If you are in Christ Jesus, you are joint heirs with him and in him, in the Father. The earth is given to us. What was not given to us is the will of another man. Fake lawns and processed foods has nothing to do with being lustful and unfaithful partners. I am not sure if you meant to say this. But either way, it is impossible for you to determine people to such a degree as to say that God is judge them based on these acts. These are very minor acts of little importance. You have friends, you say, then I would hope that you value their life more than the earth, the grass and such. By you saying that you believe in keeping the earth alive and well more than your own wellness, you are saying that you would let your health decline in order to keep the earth alive and well. This is concerning. The earth’s destruction is inevitable. Your life and the life of all of mankind is first and foremost in the heart of God. Come on now.
I do however believe that killing animals for sport show a lack of compassion. But when I chase a down a fly, I somehow never think about that. I have never heard of people killing animals for sport and then not using some part of it for profit or personal use, whether to eat of it or whatever else.
