Throughout the Bible, we see numerous examples of how God used individuals with physical or mental challenges to fulfill His purposes. Moses, who struggled with speech (Exodus 4:10), was chosen to lead Israel out of Egypt and deliver God’s law. Mephibosheth, Jonathan’s son who was disabled (2 Samuel 9:3), was shown great mercy and favor in King David’s court. The apostle Paul dealt with a “thorn in the flesh,” yet his ministry flourished because God’s power was made perfect in his weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Today, God continues to use people with disabilities in powerful ways to inspire, lead, and show His strength through their lives. How have you seen or experienced God working through those with disabilities in your life or community?
