Should churches have Thanksgiving services?

Out of the handful of churches I’ve attended over the years, only one has held a Thanksgiving service (it was always the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving). I know we probably don’t need more on our schedules this time of year, but I kind of miss having that opportunity to pause and reflect and focus on what I’m thankful for.

I didn’t know any churches did Thanksgiving services!

It must be pretty rare! I’m honestly surprised it’s not more common, though, since thankfulness and gratitude is woven throughout the Bible.
