Edwards' Religious Affection

Reading Jonathan Edwards “Religious Affections”, I’m finding it supremely helpful and would like to discuss with others (not interested in debating/arguing/fighting); "As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenace of his friend.

thank you for the reference

Edwards’ writings are a great resource and I am interested in this topic, unfortunately, I haven’t delved into Religious Affections but I will…
“My heart panted after this—to lie low before God, as in the dust; that I might be nothing, and that God, might be ALL, that I might become as a little child.” — Johnathon Edwards’ Personal Narrative

Brother; " The Religious Affections" is a book of deep and profound thought. I realized I cannot simply read it but must read slowly, Meditate and study each individual " affection". He lists 12 signs that may or may not be truly gracious and righteous and 12 that are most certainly are…I have to read and study each sign, examine my soul. It has been extremely profitable to me.

As one should do; as I have reviewed other writings and some Yale publishings, his history is indeed interesting and I agree his writings feel inspired.
