Family United Peace (Mental Health Cincerns)

Please remember my family in prayer! I have 3 adult children! All 3 of them accepted Jesus as their personal Savior as children! By their own personal choice! The oldest has a wife and 2 boys. He has walked away from the Lord! I pray that what I seeds of faith will be watered and grow! They hear me and ask questions about my love for Jesus! That is encouraging! My 2nd son is autistic, he loves the Lord, being in the body of Christ! His struggle is that him and I are displaced for 3 yrs! Due to my being oppressed and abused by his father my ex husband!
My youngest daughter (my prodigal child) just revealed to her brother yesterday, that she doesn’t believe in God anymore! While this knowledge makes me so sad for her! It explains the very unkind, hurtful things she has said and done in the last few years! We were so close from the time she was born! She was my answer to prayer for our family!

The other prayer request is for my brother! He has PTSD! We were tortured, physically, emotionally and sexually abused by our mother’s husband, not our father! He then murdered her! My brother was 12, I was 10 and our late brother was 6. Sadly as children we did not get get the counseling we needed! My brother is very angry and violent! He is addicted to drugs and alcohol. I’m not sure if he still is taking his psych medications! Or if he is still going to a psychiatrist via the military! He is a veteran. He was called to the ministry at a young age. He basically has been running ever since! He’s been in and out of jail most of his adult life! If you don’t have discernment, the way he speaks one might think that he is walking with the Lord! In the pass few yrs he has been verbally violently aggressive! He came after me and my children with angry words! I set up boundaries! My children distanced themselves! But my eldest son has reunited with him, letting him be around my 2 little grandsons! They connect over sports, and drinking! Recently he verbally went after 2 of our older male first cousins unprovoked! He gave one of them a veiled threat! The one who was threatened called me seeking insight on my brother’s behavior! That simmered down! Then Sunday evening I received a text demonic text message from him! I have kept my distance since the first incident with my children and myself! On Sunday I immediately went into prayer with my sisters in Christ! Pleading the blood of Jesus! Rebuking the enemy! I don’t want to sin in my righteous indignation! So I sought the as I recognized the attack! One of the cousins he verbally attacked has a mental health business in our home town! Along with prayer, I believe he needs some sort of intervention! He’s not married and has no children. I don’t know what an intervention would look like! Safety for himself, our family and others is a priority! I’m fasting and praying from today through Saturday seeking wisdom and clarity in how the Lord would have me to move! I don’t want to get in the way of God’s plan! Thank y’all so much for this opportunity to send up this prayer request! I’m a living witness to the power of prayer! I’m beyond grateful to the Lord for the opportunity to go to His loving throne of grace and mercy! As Jesus taught us in the book of Matthew “where two or three are gathered in my name, I will be in the midst!” I’m praising Him in advance for the victory and trusting with every fiber of my being because Jesus already paid the price and has won the victory!

May y’all be blessed exceedingly and abundantly more than you can fathom! In the name of the Most High Jesus! HALLELUIA, amen!

Thank you for sharing all these concerns about your family. Praying the healing and restoring power of Jesus would be at work in your family, especially during the holidays. May he soften hearts and bring peace and healing as only he can. :folded_hands:

@1961 I will pray for you and your family. I have a similar situation as well. Just rest assured, you did what you could. You helped lay a solid Biblical foundation and planted the seeds. Unfortunately, it is not up to them. You have hope that they have heard the truth, know the truth, even if they reject or deny it now, and God can work with that.

However, the sad truth is, just like you, I, and anyone else, they have free will to do whatever they choose.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.” Revelation 3:20

I join you in the prayer that they open the door.

May God be with you.

Peter

Lord, we lift this family to You. Amen. :raising_hands::folded_hands:
