Favorite Christmas Carol or Hymn

“O Holy Night” has always been my favorite Christmas hymn. The powerful lyrics and melody never fail to give me chills, especially the line, “Fall on your knees, oh hear the angel voices!” It perfectly captures the reverence and awe of the Christmas story.

Another favorite Christmas song is “Lord, Remind Me” by Jon Guerra. It’s not a traditional carol or hymn, but its reflective lyrics resonate deeply, especially during the holiday season. The song reminds me to focus on what truly matters amid the busyness of Christmas.

Hard to choose because there are so many good ones. “O Holy Night” is up there. In the modern era, Breath of Heaven (Mary’s Song) is pretty special.

I like this rendition of ‘I heard the bells on Christmas Day’ by Casting Crowns…

I was able to go to a Phil Wickham Christmas concert with my wife on Friday night and heard this one for the first time… he had Taya Smith from Hillsong with him and she sang O Holy Night most beautifully.

Hi,
“Silent Night” is a classic.

Do the songs have to be religious?.
Because I have two favorites that are just about having fun.
The first is “Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer” by Elmo Shropshire.
The other is “Run Rudolph Run” by Chuck Berry.
They make me smile.
Blessings
