Fellowship With Believers—If You Are A Believer

Life is a Test – James 1:12

Over and over, God’s Word tells the believer they are not of this world. They are to fellowship with other Christians, not unbelievers, because they are giving a place to the devil to be led astray by their ungodly influence. “Evil Communications Corrupt Good Manners” (ref 1 Cor 15:33). Have you not read in God’s Word:

Acts 2:42 “And they continued Steadfastly in the Apostles’ Doctrine and Fellowship, and in Breaking of Bread, and in Prayers.”
They continued with believers, not unbelievers. They continued in God’s Word.

1 Corinthians 1:9 “Ye Were Called Unto The Fellowship Of His Son Jesus Christ Our Lord.”

1 Corinthians 10:20 “The Gentiles…They Sacrifice To Devils, And Not To God: And I Would Not That Ye Should Have Fellowship With Devils.”

2 Corinthians 6:14-18 “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be My Sons and Daughters, saith the Lord almighty.”

Ephesians 5:11-13 “Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.”

1 John 1:3 “That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.”

1 John 1:6-7 “If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in Darkness, We Lie, and Do Not The Truth: But If We Walk In The Light, as He Is In The Light, we have fellowship one with another, and The Blood Of Jesus Christ His Son Cleanseth Us From All Sin.”
As said previously, the Bible asks this question:

Luke 18:8 “When The Son Of Man cometh, shall He find Faith On The Earth?”

Stop filling your ears and eyes with the things of this world. Fill yourselves with God’s Word.

Don’t tell me that you take some time to study God’s Word every day. Study it more.

As the Rapture draws closer, all those wonderful books you have read, the newspapers, Internet surfing, cell phone conversations, TV viewing, games played, worldly music listened to, all those news programs, talk shows, and things of this world you have participated in will profit you nothing. It is all a Test. Satan dangles all sorts of things in front of you to tempt you.

He knows what is in your heart. The more things of this world you fill yourself with, the less room there is for Jesus. There are few today with a spiritual mind. And if you are one of those few that are spiritually-minded, Satan knows how to begin to get you to focus on other things that may be indirectly related to God’s Word, in order to deceive you and get you out of the will of God.

The more you are focused on worldly situations or anything of this world, the less you are focused on God, on His Word, and on serving Him. What is really the greatest love in your life? Is it God or something else?

Even if you are a believer, perhaps you need to Repent of certain things. Perhaps you need to start putting God first. For it is written:

1 John 2:15-17 “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the father is not in him. For all that is in the World, the lust of the flesh, and the Lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of god abideth for ever.”

30 – Sufferings
Life is a Test – James 1:12

Regarding suffering, Christians will also go through some of the same sufferings that Jesus went through. Remember, life is a Test.

Whom do you follow? Everyone follows either the God of heaven, that is Jesus Christ Who is come in the flesh, OR they follow the god of this world. All that do not follow Jesus do, in fact, follow the god of this world, which is the god of deception. The god of deception has blinded their understanding so much that they do not even know they have been deceived. It is written:

2 Corinthians 4:4 “the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ, who is the image of god, should shine unto them.”
The God of this world “Satan, Deceives the Whole World.” Revelation 12:9.

A person may say they are an atheist or an agnostic. Another may say they are of a particular religion. Another may say they believe in reincarnation, or karma, or just themselves. The fact is, they are all following the god of this world.

As said, all that do not follow the Jesus Christ, of the written Word are, in fact, deceived and are following Satan, also known as the deceiver, the dragon, Lucifer, the devil, the serpent, and other names.

Yet, if someone would attempt to tell the deceived person these facts, they would most probably think the person telling them this is crazy, as wrong thoughts are being put into their mind by the devil.
