Goals for 2026?

Anyone have any goals for the new year you’d want to share? It would be cool to get to look back on this post a year from now and see how we’ve all grown or changed!

I really want to make more time for hobbies like reading, painting, and maybe cross stitching. I’d also love to try more recipes and prioritize healthy meals for our family now that we have a baby eating solid foods with us. I also want to do a better job at praying for people in the moment. I’m loving letting go of the “formalities” of prayer and realizing that I can talk to God in any moment of the day, no matter what insignificant task I’m doing. When someone texts for prayer or shares something, I want to pray in that moment instead of just saying I will. Lastly, I am excited for the warmer weather and really want to go on long walks again with my son. I feel the difference that moving my body makes for my mental health and it’s always harder for me in the winter.

Love all these goals and intentions!

I’m feeling a push to try some new things in 2026 and am thinking about goals with that in mind. My family has been exploring a new church which has been a big deal since we have attended the same church for over a decade. I also have my first solo trip post-kids planned for later this winter (I’m both nervous to be away and excited). I also hope to get outside my comfort zone in other areas like work and learn new skills and do some continuing education.

I love New Year’s resolutions and goals because I love task lists and achieving things, but I also always have to remind myself that those things are all good but I am a human being, not a human doing. It’s a balance, for sure.

To read God’s Word first, every day, before I start doomscrolling.

My goal is to learn to prioritize- focus on spiritual growth (daily devotion, reading Bible and prayer) and seek God’s kingdom

My goals are all health-related! Last year I began really taking control of my health. As a mother and wife, I have always put my children and husband first. I’ve neglected myself far too long. This year, my goals are all still health-related. Last year was all about running. This year I’m adding strength training. :flexed_biceps:
