GOD WANTS US TO NEED HIM

By our very design, we are created as imperfect beings. We are meant and designed, to make mistakes. Because we are, this ensures that we will need God our creator. He wants us to rely on him, to cast our cares upon him, to search him out and come to him.

Our nature is not one of giving up control. We try to handle everything alone. Most of the time, we are not even aware we are doing that. But when things get really bad, we reach the end of what we can do…hitting rock bottom. Then, we have no choice, but to place our faith in him…and finally give up control, and ask God to take over, and show us the way. It worked for me, I asked, I confessed I was lost, and told him to take over and guide me. Then he did, I just had to look for signs in my life, of which way he wanted me to go. It was just that simple. After that, it became automatic, he placed me on the right path. WE MUST TRUST HIM !!! GIVE EVERYTHING TO HIM.

Hello @CalledofGod

Thank you for sharing your journey and testimony. Reaching the end of yourself and learning to let go of absolute control is one of the most transformative experiences a person can go through.

A few thoughts on what you shared: It is so true that our human instinct is to hold the wheel until things completely fall apart. Reaching “rock bottom” often breaks the illusion that we can manage everything on our own, opening the door to genuine humility and trust.

While that initial moment of surrendering control can feel simple and automatic, staying in that posture often takes daily awareness. As life builds back up, the temptation to grab the wheel again can slip back in, which is why practicing daily trust is so key. Looking for guidance and signs following a moment of surrender is a powerful way to stay attentive to God in daily life. Pairing those signs with wisdom, prayer, and community helps ensure that the path forward remains clear and grounded.

It’s powerful that you found peace and direction after admitting you were lost. That honest confession is where real growth begins. Is there a specific angle or theological question you’d like to explore?

Amen Peter!

At the time I asked God for help, I had lost my family, my job, pretty much everything. I was parked on a dirt road, in the middle of the night, looking up at the moon as I searched for him. I told him I needed his help, and I looked for signs in my life. Then I acted on those signs, and it all began to fall into place. It was that simple.

When I was a kid in the 4th grade, I walked through a mean old man’s yard. He came out and beat me up. My angel interceded for me, and asked God about that. God sent the holy spirit upon me, to tell that old man he would die for it, taking me and using me as a puppet, I told him, pointing at him. Then it came true, and I went on foretelling deaths through the years, I got so good at it, I even saw my own. For every one, the guilt got worse and worse to bear. I never asked for “the gift”, and wanted to be like everyone else. I still don’t know if he took it away or not. Before the spirit came, I only told of good things, but that changed. I sometimes misused the spirit, telling strangers their birth days, or knowing things I shouldn’t have, ect. I saw my brothers death four years ahead of time. I never tried to force it, just telling what I was shown. God sent dreams to me upon my bed at night as a teenager, and I met him when I stopped breathing in my sleep.

We are nothing without Christ. Read John 3:16-17
