That would be a negative for me. I’m sure there are good recipes out there, but they’ve never crossed my lips.

I like it, but my brother says it looks and tastes like a sinus infection. :grin:

I think we all tend to love things our mothers cooked. My mother was Polish, and my Russian wife was thrilled to discover that an Arizona native like me loved beets, borsch, cabbage, golubtzi, blini and all the rest.

Hi,
Make some substitutions for a more flavorful casserole.
Replace the green beans with yellow sweet corn.
Keep the fried onions if you like them
Add some diced mild chilies.
If you like spicy,add seeded diced jalapeno peppers.
Warn people when you serve so they are prepared for the heat.
Diced tomatoes are optional, but give the dish that red/green Christmas effect.
