Grass withers and the flower fades, but the word of our God shall stand for ever ~Isaiah 40:8. Men change, nations shake, calendars flip, but the counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations ~Psalm 33:11. If the trail ahead looks uncertain, it is not because God is unsure. He is steady. He is faithful. He is still King.
So tighten the saddle and walk straight. The night is far spent, the day is at hand ~Romans 13:12. Now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation ~2 Corinthians 6:2. Set your feet on the narrow way, keep your eyes on Christ, and let the word of Christ dwell in you richly ~Colossians 3:16. We are nearer than when we believed ~Romans 13:11. Eternity is closer than it was yesterday, and blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it ~Luke 11:28.
