I keep seeing news about how many days it has been since Harris’s last formal press conference. Does it really matter? I mean, the people voting for her are going to vote for her regardless of what she says in a news conference. This is clearly a play out of the playbook Biden used to hide his age-induced incompetence.
The people counting the days wouldn’t be voting for her anyway, so just stop fussing about it.
I’m beginning to wonder if Fox New’s continuation of comparing the number of interviews the candidates have made is just a poor attempt to prop up their chosen candidate.
See… I really think Harris doesn’t need to do interviews. I think she has the following now that she will have when it comes time to go to the polls… Trump, on the other hand, needs to keep in front of his following and needs to get more votes.
He hits a key point: the entertainment factor of the elections.
Some tend to see it as a wrestling championship.
I see Trump supporters as supporting him even if he promised to purchase guillotines and publicly execute moderate Republicans and all Democrats. More entertainment.
The margin of victory could be razor-thin. Harris’ unwillingness to confront legitimate journalistic questioning, where she has to respond off the cuff, could well affect some voters. I think the Harris campaign has simply decided that this risk is less than the risk of her launching into further embarrassing word salads that cost an even greater number of votes. I don’t think it’s illegitimate for Fox to keep pointing this out - the President of the U.S. has to be able to operate on a world stage in critical situations that can’t be orchestrated like an Oprah softball interview. For better or worse, we’ve seen who The Donald really is in these situations.
It’s not just Fox beating this drum. I’ve seen numerous stories on CNN and elsewhere to the effect that Harris can’t keep avoiding real questioning.
