Sometimes, we’re paddling through the ordinary—working, struggling, trying again—and then suddenly, everything shifts. Something unexpected breaks through the fog of routine and frustration, and in that moment of clarity, our spirit cries out: “It’s the Lord!”
That’s exactly what happened in John 21:7. After a long night of catching nothing, the disciples obeyed Jesus’ call to cast their nets one more time. When the boat overflowed with fish, it was John who said it first: “It is the Lord!” Recognition lit up the scene like the sunrise itself.
What about us? We don’t always see Him at first. We’re tired. We’re discouraged. But then—a prayer answered, a breakthrough moment, a divine nudge we didn’t expect—reminds us: He’s been here all along.
Have you ever had a moment like that? A time when God made Himself unmistakably clear?
What helped you recognize Him in that moment? And how did it change your view of the situation?
“When your eyes are opened to who He is, you’ll never see your situation the same.”
