Sometimes God answers our prayers in a way we didn’t ask for, didn’t predict, or didn’t understand until later.
Have you ever prayed for something and God answered it in a completely different way than you imagined?

This might be hyperbole, but only slightly: All of them.
I’m not sure I’ve ever had an answered prayer that was exactly like what I wanted–it’s possible. But usually God’s ways have always left me befuddled and aware of how tiny I am–and how awesome He is.
Yes, he has when I pray I pray faithfully when he answers them. It’s usually exactly what I ask for but not in the form I wanted.
Yes. Often. And His answer is always the best. Even if it is “No.”

Always Thy will be done, not my will be done.

All prayer is answered, but not all prayer is effective. Prayer is a two-way relationship.
The worst thing God could do is grant believers’ inappropriate requests.

Yes, more than once. I’ve prayed for open doors and found God closing them firmly…only to realize later it was His protection. Other times, I’ve asked for quick answers, and instead He gave patience and a deeper trust in His timing. His ways truly are higher than ours, even when we can’t see it in the moment.
More often than not. Whimsical unpredictability is a trademark of Divine providence. Joseph had a vision of his brothers bowing before him – but had no idea that he would be wearing an Egyptian magistrate’s linen kilt when they did so!
Amen! that seemed to sum up my life right there
