Some people humble themselves to the Lord and let him heal them. Others turn their back on the Lord and attempt to heal themselves.
Hi,
Romans 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
Some who humble themselves before God are not healed.
Some who turn their back are healed anyway.
God heals who He will.
Even those that turn their back to Him.
We exist for God’s purposes.
God is always in control of His creation.

Why would the Lord not heal those who humble themselves to him?
Why would the Lord reward those that turn their backs to him?
Gods priority is our relationship with him, not our physical wellbeing.
He is not a vending machine, say prayers get a result!
He is sovereign, we are his servants.
It is bizaar that you equate pursuing wellness with turning one’s back on the Lord.
What scripture makes the argument that you are turning away from God by going to a doctor?
When I use the word “heal,” I am referring to the Lord’s healing us from all our problems.
Define what the word “problem” means.
It sounds like you expect God to live your life for you instead of you being responsible for the choices that you make.
Problem: Anything that is bothering you.
What God does is show us the answer to our problems.
How does God show you the answers?
Paul taught us to constantly be in prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17). In prayer we talk to the Lord and listen to what he says to us. It is here that he shows us the answers.
Excellent answer.
Prayer is a great way to talk with God.
Hi,
"Why would the Lord not heal those who humble themselves to him?
Why would the Lord reward those that turn their backs to him?" Quote from Bob Estey
2 Corinthians 12:7-10 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
Paul was tormented by demons.
He prayed three times for God to take this from him.
God told Paul, ""My grace is sufficient for thee . . . . "
So there we have a humble man, Paul, not being healed for God’s purposes.
Here is an example of unbelievers being healed.
The Ten Lepers, from Luke 17:11-19
(I am not going to post it here, but you can read it.)
Jesus healed all ten lepers. But only one, a Samaritan, returned to thank Jesus. While the other nine were healed, they did not express belief, or show any appreciation. This suggests they were not followers of or believers of Jesus.
Romans 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

When we pray to the Lord, he shows us the way.
Of course, if we don’t listen, we don’t hear. In that case, we are on our own.
Nope, it doesn’t work that way. In this life you will have troubles.
Troubles are only troubles if they bother you. What is going to bother you if you have faith? Sin is an enemy to faith.
That’s why I thank God everyday for Jesus and the promise of forgiveness for all my sins.
He shows us his answers in His Word, the Bible, not in any other way.
I don’t believe Scripture support’s that statement.
Countless Biblical stories show God giving answers and direction/ guidance in other ways. Sometimes directly, like with Job, to Saul who became Paul, and to many people during the baptism of Christ
Sometimes through angels, like with Abraham and Lot, and Mary, the Mother of Christ.
Sometimes through dreams, like through Joseph and Pharoah, Daniel and Nebekenezer, and Joseph, adopted father of Christ.
Sometimes through Prophets like Samuel, Elijah, and Jeremiah
Sometimes through Wise Women as with King David regarding his son Absalom.
And visions too if you consider the vision that showed the animals in a net that guided the early Christians to lift the food restrictions as Paul writes regarding should Gentiles be forced to observe said restrictions as Jesish believers had.
God is not limited.
Sorry but that is not what the word heal means.
God is not like a disney fairy going ’ bibberty bobberty boo! ’ and our problems are solved.
Our prob.em often require us to face them, face the unpleasant answers and deal with them.
What God will do is give us peace and the spiritual strength to face our problems.
Which usually means going to doctors, lawyers, accountants, mechanics, etc etc
That isn’t entirely true. Certainly, when Jesus and God are quoted in the Bible, that is truth. But we are also instructed by Paul to pray constantly, and in our conversations with the Lord, we learn much.
