During some of my hardest seasons, I’ve found that simple prayer rituals have grounded me in ways I didn’t expect. When everything feels chaotic, these little practices help me breathe again and remember I’m not alone.
A few things that have made a huge difference for me:
- Breath prayers; just inhaling “Lord, give me peace” and exhaling “I release this to You.” It calms my body and mind fast.
- Lighting a candle as a way of saying, “God, I’m here. Please meet me in this.”
- Praying through a single verse when I can’t find my own words.
- Hands-open prayers where I physically release what I can’t control.
They’re small rituals, but they’ve helped me get through some really heavy moments. If anyone else is going through it right now, I hope this encourages you to find whatever simple practices help you feel anchored again. You’re not alone on this journey. ![]()
