Now that Halloween is over, I’m starting to see ads for Black Friday deals, and it’s got me thinking about Christmas gifts for my family and friends. I looked through the CW Holiday Gift Guide and found the perfect gift for my dad!
I’m still trying to think of ideas for my mom - share your Christmas gift ideas
It’s always surprising how quickly the ads shift the moment November starts. One idea I’ve liked for gifting is something that supports a shared experience rather than just an item. For example, a book and a cozy blanket paired together, or a board game the whole family can play over the holidays.
Sometimes a small thoughtful pairing makes the gift feel more personal, like tea + a devotional, or a nice pen + a journal.
Curious what direction you’re leaning for your mom, something practical she’ll use every day, or more of a “treat” she wouldn’t buy for herself?
We really like experience gifts in my family. Things like a membership to the Children’s Museum for the kids, concert tickets, a weekend trip together, taking a cooking class, etc. This minimizes clutter and focus on stuff, but also has the benefit of quality time.
If they don’t need or want something, get them a book, a box of chocolates or smellies and a card from Barnabus fund saying the 50$ you would have spent has gone to feed a starving Chriostian some where in the world.
