How can we pray for those who struggle during the Christmas season?

Not everyone experiences Christmas as a joyful time, for some people, this season brings loneliness, grief, stress, or financial pressure.

How do you pray for people who find this time of year difficult?
Are there specific Scriptures, promises, or simple prayers you lift up for them?

I’d love to gather ideas so we can support others more intentionally during this season.

Who are you intending to help?

Who helps the homeless or the lonely in your town?

Are you a supporter of Barnabus Fund or OpenDoors, both of whom seek to help persecuted Christians in Islamic and other countries.

What charities are there in your district that support the lonely?

What does your church do to rea h out to the nonchurched elderly?

One of the best posts I’ve read in a long time.

If you have someone specific in mind, I would say that the best thing you can do ‘for people who find this time of year difficult’ is to not pray for them, but pray with them. Let them know you and GOD are there for them.

If your desire is to pray for those whom you do not know, just be earnest, because at the end of the day God knows your heart.
