How far did Jesus carry the cross?

I saw this discussion somewhere on fb earlier this morning and now I can’t find it, so I want to ask you guys - How far did Jesus carry the cross?

Well, Jesus carried the cross for roughly 1/3 to 1/2 of a mile (about 500 to 650 meters / 1,700 to 2,000 feet) from Pontius Pilate’s judgment hall to Golgotha, outside the city walls of Jerusalem.

Under Roman practice, condemned prisoners usually carried only the heavy horizontal crossbeam (called the patibulum), which weighed around 75 to 100 pounds, rather than the entire full cross structure.

Jesus began the journey carrying the beam Himself (John 19:17). However, because He was severely weakened from the violent Roman flogging, He collapsed along the way, and the soldiers forced Simon of Cyrene to carry it the rest of the distance for Him (Matthew 27:32). So? The exact distance? I do not think we are told.

Be blessed, be a blessing, and Jesus is LORD!

Peter
