How the Iran Conflict Is Affecting Everyday American Life

I appreciated this article, especially the part about the stress military families carry during times like this.

Honestly, higher gas prices have not affected me personally that much. Where I live, prices are around $3.50 a gallon, and that still feels far from the $5-plus we saw a few years ago.

For me, the two hardest parts of war are the worry and uncertainty military families face (as the article stated), and the way both Republican-leaning and Democrat-leaning news outlets can heighten tension, almost like it’s a sport. The article mentions the emotional stress caused by constant media coverage, and I think that is very real. Christians need wisdom here. We should listen to multiple sources so we can separate actual reporting from emotion and opinion, and above all, we should pray for our country, our leaders, and those who are serving.
