The Bible records many remarkable conversations.
If you could quietly listen to one conversation in person, such as Jesus with Nicodemus, Moses with God at the burning bush, Ruth and Naomi, or another, which would you choose, and why?
It’s hard to pick just one.
I’m curious about the telling in Matthew when the Magi show up and alarm the whole city of Jerusalem with their appearance. Herod gets everyone of importance together from the Jewish community to ask them where this Messiah is supposed to be born. They all answer wholeheartedly that He’ll be born in Bethlehem. No doubt there.
The conversation I’d like to hear is the one these people had because it makes no sense to me that they didn’t go to Bethlehem and see for themselves. The long awaited Messiah has been born and you just go about your business? That makes no sense. The Magi show up and it disturbs the whole city. This is not some secret, isolated event. Everyone knew about it and no one did anything? Strange.

I would definitely like to listen to the conversation between Jesus and the woman at the well.
