Whether your dad is near, far, or gone—what’s one thing you wish he knew? #FathersDay#DadAffirmation#christianforums#crosswalkforums#forums#crosswalk#faithcommunity#faithforums
Father’s Day isn’t easy for everyone. For some, it’s a celebration of a great man. For others, it brings up distance, regret, or loss. But across the spectrum, there’s one thing we all share: words we’ve either said, long to say, or wish we still could.
The truth is—dads don’t always hear what they need most. Encouragement. Affirmation. Forgiveness. Love. And sometimes, the most powerful thing isn’t a big speech—it’s a simple sentence spoken from the heart.
So if you could tell your dad one thing—just one—what would it be?
“Every father’s heart longs to hear that he mattered.”
In additon to I LOVE YOU, i would tell him THANK YOU for never giving up on me, for always encouraging me to keep pushing forward and not letting me give up on myself, For helping me see and believe life goes on. and i wish i could have been there for him.
I would tell my father this; dad i love you and miss you soooo much. I hope that before you passed you remembered to ask God for forgiveness, so that one day i will be able to see you again in Heaven. Hope you are enjoying ever lasting life, thank you for the great memories before you left, and i hope i make you proud to be my dad. Love you always
I would tell him that I understand his drinking was to cope with the world which was much more different and difficult than he was led to expect. I understand that his family and church were failures to teach him hope to cope with life.
