Hello, I am new to the forum. I am trying to reach out and meet others whom need prayers as my family does. I know we are all sinners and no sin is worse than another but my son is gay and I need prayers for our relationship and for him to start following Jesus’ and be freed from his attraction to the same sex. Please in God’s holy name please pray for my son.

@m801 , this is exactly the twisting of truth that Paul had to answer in his own day. When the Word of God confronts sin, the sinner often hears it as hate, but that is a lie from the flesh and from the devil. God does not hate you as a man made in His image, but He does hate sin, because sin destroys the very life He gave.
Scripture is clear, “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
He did not wait for you to clean yourself up, He loved you in the pit of sin and stretched out His hands at the cross.
The claim that “I should just die because I want to be happy” is a false gospel of self. Paul writes, “The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23). Sin always pays death, no matter if it feels like happiness for a season.
But the good news is that Christ took that death into Himself on the cross, “so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).
God’s call is not “Die because I hate you,” but “Die with Christ so that you may live” (Romans 6:6–11). The cross is the only place happiness can be remade into holiness. Paul said, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
God is not against your joy, He is against the lie that calls bondage freedom and death happiness. He offers the joy of forgiveness, the peace of a clean conscience, and the hope of resurrection life.
If you believe God hates you, look to Calvary. There His justice and His love collided. Justice fell on Christ, not on you, and love poured out through His wounds. Your sin is not greater than His blood. He does not say, “I hate you,” He says, “Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

You can rebuke and bind away the spirits of homosexuality, perversion, confusion, lies and deception in Jesus name, over your son. Command them to leave your son in Jesus name, and for God to save and fill your son with his Holy Spirit.
I pray for all of you who believe that loving someone of the same sex is a sin. Love is blind, and no one should ever feel unwelcome because of who they love or the relationship they are in. I pray God softens hearts and gives the right mind to treat all people with respect, dignity, and compassion.
As a heterosexual woman, I am truly saddened to see judgment and exclusion allowed in a space meant for prayer and support. We are all God’s children, and His greatest command is to love one another.
I am sorry for continuing this thread of off-topic conversation, but I could not stop myself from stating my mind on such ridiculousness. Love your son as God made him, in His image.

Please don’t be so hard on yourself. You are loved exactly as you are, and nothing can separate you from God’s love. Being in a same-sex relationship does not make you unworthy of His presence, His grace, or His church. The church is meant to be a place of healing and belonging, not shame or exclusion.
You are God’s child, created in His image, and He delights in you. Your longing to be close to Him already shows your faith and your heart. Please know you can call yourself a Christian—because being a Christian is about following Jesus and receiving His love, not about being perfect or meeting others’ expectations.
I am praying that you feel God’s peace, acceptance, and guidance, and that He brings you to a community where you are celebrated for who you are. You are not alone.
