@coleyfrankie194, welcome. The best advice I can give you is for you to stop looking to the world for the answer. Seek first the Kingdom of God. Here is why I say this. It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed by financial strain, especially in a world that constantly tells us our worth and security depend on money. But remember, the financial pressure we feel comes from human-made systems, not from God.
First, stop thinking about it in a worldly sense.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5–6
This passage urges us to place our complete trust in the Lord rather than relying solely on our own human reasoning or calculations. When we acknowledge Him in all areas of life, including our finances, He will guide our path forward.
Paul encourages believers not to carry the burden of anxiety. Instead, we are invited to bring every worry and request to God through prayer and thanksgiving.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6–7
In return, God offers a peace that goes beyond human understanding, which guards our hearts and minds from fear and overwhelm.
Then, of course, you have this from our LORD Himself.
“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Matthew 6:25–34
Jesus reminds us that life is more than material needs like food or clothes. He points to creation: how God feeds the birds of the air and clothes the lilies of the field without them striving or worrying. God knows what we need before we even ask. When we focus on seeking His Kingdom and His righteousness first, He promises that our daily essential needs will be provided for.
I say again, stop looking toward the world for your answers and solutions; start looking to God. May God be with you, now in this time, and always.
Peter
Please continue to pray
for me-IF YOU WILL- and also the 4 sons I asked you to pray for:DAVID WITTMAN,JR.-JOEY WITTMAN -DANIEL WITTMAN and SGT.MELVIN WITTMAN. They all have wives & children that they need to be examples for and this is why I requested prayer for them. Myself-I have more complex problems because I refuse to share my life with anyone else because of ABUSE-Now I am believing that GOD really has no time to care for anyone else EXCEPT HIS OWN! Matthew 15:24 plainly states that HE ONLY is called but unto the lost sheep of ISRAEL. HE even calls GENTILES-DOGS-26! I have always TRUSTED in HIM to DELIVER! even from the “ENEMY”! Will you help me to pray?
