As a follow-up to this: I highly recommend the AllSides app and/or web site to see published views from left, center and right media on a wide range of issues. Here’s a link to the one this morning about yesterday’s court filing:
All sides is great for getting perspective.
On to LA and those Dodgers---- we’ve bumped them out before!
I will stick with my Braves.
Sorry-- we did them dirty last night.
We shall rise again!
The Republican candidate was president for 4 years and nothing you have claimed even remotely came to pass.
He headed down the road of fascism and his statements this time, along with his love affair with world dictators paints a path as clear as that of Hitler and the Brownshirt thugs.
The decision regarding the lesser of two evils ideally should be between two sets of policies. Alas, in this election the personality of one candidate has overshadowed everything else. I heard a Christian leader yesterday say he believes a very large percentage of Harris votes will be little more than “I hate Trump” votes. I think this is accurate. A Desantis or Haley would’ve won in a landslide, but the Cult of Trump and the virus of Trump Derangement Syndrome have both reached biblical proportions of lunacy.
As a lifelong Democrat, I am say that mant moderate were prepared to vote for Haley.
As usual these days, moderates of both parties were ignored.
I wholeheartedly agree with your stance. Neither candidate is ideal. Still there are several Scriptures that share exactly how God views lying and how important actual character is. It’s Luke 6:45 that Jesus said, “A good man out of the good treasure his heart brings forth that which is good and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth that which is evil.” When any candidate has absolutely nothing good to say about anyone or anything, that speaks for itself. Jesus also made it clear the more than anything, love must be most more important than anything. Love God and love of EVERYONE made in the likeness and image of God. Jesus actually said that it the law that supersedes every other law. Lesser of two evils? I don’t believe that there is a question as to which candidate thought very much flawed, shows more love than hate. God alone knows every heart. But Jesus says we can know what’s in a man’s heart. You just listen to his words. That’s a clear indication of what’s in the heart of the candidates.
Deleted - tired of the nonsense, including my own.
One final link to an article about the election and voting as a Christian, in case anyone is still undecided:
The issue should be competence and leadership, period. Allowing a candidate’s personal morality to decide a vote simply isn’t rational. I suspect if we knew the personal foibles of all Presidents since George Washington, we’d be aghast.
