So many lives are being affected by conflict right now. Families are hurting, and fear is spreading across nations. Let’s come together as one in Christ and pray for peace, protection, and healing for everyone impacted. ![]()
I love this idea, and in concept, I would agree. Sadly, I feel it is only going to get worse. But then the ultimate celebration.
" As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, ‘Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?’ And Jesus answered them, "See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.
But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." Matthew 24:3-14
Following this?
"I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

> He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen." Revelation 22:18-21
This is something to be afraid of by man, but as a child of God, we should be looking forward to it.

Already happening, globally, with much persecution.

~Matthew 24:6
“And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.”[1]
The key verb is μὴ θροεῖσθε, which is a present imperative with negation, meaning, “do not be alarmed,” or “stop being troubled.”
This is not a call to cheerfulness, but a prohibition against panic and inner disturbance.
Parallel passage:
~Mark 13:7
“And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. This must take place, but the end is not yet.”[2]
Second, the “take heart” or “be of good cheer” statement:
~John 16:33
“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”[3]
Here the verb is θαρσεῖτε, meaning, “take courage,” or “be confident.”
So the precise synthesis is this:
In relation to wars: “do not be alarmed.”
In relation to tribulation: “take heart.”
The first forbids anxiety.
The second commands courage.
Both rest on the same foundation: Christ’s sovereignty, secured in the cross and vindicated in the resurrection.
