When the NIV came out, there was a backlash from people who considered the KJV to be the real Bible, the NIV and others were products of Satan.
I have not heard this in a long time, but if you adhere to it, I would like to hear your explanation why.
I think of the King James as the “In Other Words” translation, since pastors read the scriptures then try to explain it.
